Final issue in the Civil War Centennial stamp series. Issued on April 9, 1965 to mark the centennial of the surrender of General Robert E. Lee's Army of Nothern Virginia to Union General Ulysses Grant at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia (April 9, 1865). This stamp is in mint condition and includes an authentic "Indian Head" penny dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Item #858
