First issue in the Civil War Centennial stamp series. Issued on April 12, 1961 to commemorate the firing on Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor (April 12, 1861). This stamp is in mint condition and includes an authentic "Indian Head" penny dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Item #858
