Second in the Civil War Centennial stamp series. Issued on April 7, 1962 to mark the centennial of the Battle of Shiloh, April 6 and 7, 1862, in which Confederate and Union Armies sustained heavy losses, including the loss of Confederate General Albert Sydney Johnston. This stamp is in mint condition and includes an authentic "Indian Head" penny dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Item #858
